How to Say I'm Sorry to Your Husband / Wife (Christian Help)
1. In person (I never recommend email. Serious matters do not seem to come across well via email. If you choose to write a letter, then get an old-fashioned piece of paper out and one of those things called a pencil and write to your heart’s desire.)
2. Without words like "I'm sorry, but . . . ", "I'm sorry, however if you would have . . . ", or "I'm sorry, but if you . . . "
3. Without any excuses
4. Without casting any blame on the other person (People that are truly sorry take full responsibility for their own actions.)
5. Without ulterior motives
6. Without expecting the other person to go "head over heels" right away because you apologized
7. Without the children around (unless they were involved)
8. As quickly as possible (Ephesians 4:26)
9. Without waiting until you feel like it
10. Without the desire to do it again (People that are truly sorry are not just sorry that they were caught, but they are sorry that they ever did it in the first place. - Proverbs 28:13)
